Treat your family as your number one client. At the end of the day, your family is the only people that'll be there for you when everything goes to crap. Okay?

That's what I've learned in my business. When I'm going through hard times. When I'm going through the ups and downs, I notice that my family is the only one that is there to support me.

But you have to make sure that you keep a good relationship with your family, because when times are down ... Let's say you were treating your family bad, because in neglecting that relationship, because you were so hyper-focused on your business ... when things go bad, your family might not always be there for you. You need to treat that as your number one client. You need to keep that relationship with your family, because they were there to support you from day one.

They might not understand everything that you're doing with your business, but try to relay that message. Try to communicate with them how important your business is to you, and to the people that you're serving, right? That will help them better understand what you're doing.

That was something that I had to go through during college, when I told my mom I was dropping out of college, right? It was that breaking point for me, like "How do I treat my family, my mom especially, as my number one client, when she is not supportive of what I'm doing?" I'm dropping out of college, right? I'm quitting my job. I'm not having that stable income that she worked so hard for me to get to that point. How did I build that relationship with her?

Well, I had to communicate often to her that "This is my dream. This is something that is going to make me happy, and I see myself changing the lives of other people, and myself, and my family, eventually." Right? In order to do that, I had to constantly communicate with her, right? Maybe give her a call. Shoot her a text message once a day, or once a week, at least.
