Index Funds are a type of Mutual fund which replicate an Index. Index funds are a relatively new concept in India and the most sensible way to grow your wealth, especially for a know-nothing investor. Mr. Varun Malhotra will explain why Index funds are a better alternative compared with actively managed Mutual funds for stock market investors.

Mutual funds charge a small fee (around 1%) for managing investor's money and it sounds reasonable for a stock market beginner in mutual funds but 1% can make a BIG difference as will be explained in the video also.
