Don't Rely On Someone Else For Happiness Or Money (Motivational Video)

Don't rely on a boss to pay you. Here's why. Things are changing. The economy is changing. Artificial intelligence is replacing your jobs. Computers are replacing you. And if you don't develop a skillset that can't be replaced by a robot, then you're going to rely on a boss to pay you. And when you do that, what happens when all goes to hell? What happens when 2008 happens over again, a great recession? What are you supposed to do in that situation? That was my biggest fear going into college was, okay, when I get my degree and I end up getting a job, how am I going to keep that job? How am I going to do my best job to where my boss isn't going to fire me or I'm not going to get laid off?

And that fear right there really changed the direction of my life. I always saw my parents stressing about money. If they were to lose their job, we'd be screwed. We wouldn't be able to pay the mortgage. We wouldn't be able to pay the bills. Because they only developed a skillset that was specific to one corporation, one boss. But when you develop a skillset like sales and marketing, it's very broad. I could use my sales skills, use my marketing skills to go sell real estate or to go sell products online on E-commerce. Or do affiliate marketing. Or sell my consulting services. Or sell digital products to help train people. There's so many different facets of the skillsets that I've learned. And they don't teach you those skillsets in school.
