MINDSET OF THE ELITE - MOTIVATIONAL VIDEO 2019

So this was a quote from Tim Grover's book, Relentless, one of the best books I've ever read. He was the trainer for some of the top NBA athletes, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and what he said was "You don't celebrate your achievements because you always want more." And that's kind of the definition of an elite level business owner, or NBA player, or just an elite level person.

And the reason that is, is because when you're performing at such an elite level, and your purpose is so strong and your vision is so strong, when you get the achievement, you kind of already knew it was gonna happen. There's been instances in my life, like last year when I did my first six figure month, I already envisioned in my head that that was gonna happen, so when it did, it didn't surprise me. I already knew it was ... I was like "Yeah, I already knew I was gonna do that." And I continued to achieve more, right? I continued to work and be on my grind, because I always wanted more, right? I already knew that six figures, great, that's just kind of a milestone, but there's many other peaks that I wanna reach. And in order to reach those peaks, you have to continue thriving, you have to continue grinding, and continue working towards those goals.

And I knew that if I sit and basked in my celebration, and I was just like, "Yeah, this is awesome, let's go out, let's have drinks, let's throw a party," right? That was valuable time that was gonna be wasted on celebrating when I could've just said, "You know what, this was a great win. Awesome. Take a few minutes to celebrate, and then continue on the grind."

And it's a mindset that, you know, maybe it's not for everyone. Maybe this is not for you, right? And you have to ask yourself that. But for me, I knew that I wanted to be an elite level player, and in order to do that, you have to keep going when you do get your achievements. Don't sit and celebrate, just keep going, push forward, reach the next peak, and eventually you'll be at that elite level just like Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, Michael Jordan, some of the best NBA players in the world.
